BSA Origins

In October 2025, Beaufort Soccer Academy (BSA) launched as a developmental soccer program dedicated to elevating the skills of our local athletes. Founded by Jisniel "Coach J" Villalta, who has spent years coaching directly within our community, the program was created to address the critical need for a structured development plan tailored to help young soccer players grow properly.

Since our inception, we have focused on developing homegrown talent and instilling a lifelong love for the game. Our approach blends technical skill development with character building, fostering player growth through creative freedom and critical thinking at all levels.

Following overwhelming demand from our families, we are thrilled to announce our official expansion into a competitive soccer club! Armed with an unwavering commitment to player development, we are eager to reach even more aspiring players in our area. Join us as we continue to grow the beautiful game together.

Meet Our Founder

Coach J holds a US Soccer National C Coaching License. Raised in Beaufort, SC, and a proud graduate of Beaufort High School, Jisniel Villalta is a US Air Force veteran, a dedicated member of his community, and a child of God who has always valued service. That core commitment to serving others extends directly into his lifelong love for soccer.

Since 2015, Coach J has immersed himself in coaching, sharing his passion for the beautiful game across various levels—from grassroots development to elite competition. His extensive leadership experience includes serving as both the Director of Coaching and Vice President for a competitive club in Idaho, where he honed his skills in both operational design and on-field instruction.

Jisniel’s coaching philosophy centers on fostering the exact creativity, discipline, and deep love for the game that drives BSA, ensuring that every player feels valued, inspired, and empowered to reach their highest potential.
